Intermethod’s work on the project included: review of previous design work and strategic directions, development of design ideas and options, research into precedent cases, site investigations, transport and traffic assessment, strategic street network hierarchy designations and community consultation. The final design proposition envisaged a complete transformation of an underutilised street into a civic square that incorporated water play, interactive interpretive
art works, creative lighting, extensive landscaping and stormwater based water sensitive urban design. The project is awaiting construction funding allocation.
