One of the early stages of the project is community and stakeholder engagement with the aim to establish needs and priorities in the context of our future population, technological advancements, demographic changes and emerging opportunities.
Intermethod developed a Community survey, which was completed by over 350 community members.
Intermethod also completed research into emerging societal trends and best practice in addressing new needs and capturing new opportunities. This research investigated topics relating to demographic changes, community safety, emergency management, community participation, technological advancements, environmental considerations and sustainability. Intermethod extracted statistical data in relation to the City of West Torrens to understand the applicability of emerging trends to the local community. Intermethod facilitated a series of internal staff workshops which explored the trends and potential strategic/policy context to incorporate emerging directions/considerations.
At present, Intermethod is completing a review of the City of West Torrens’ current strategy and policy documents and analysis of community engagement responses. Following, Intermethod will develop recommendations and Implementation Plan, which will set directions for the future strategy and policy within the Council.
